Representations in Line Art

I like to process the world around me by drawing it. I've been doodling on scraps of paper, journal, college-ruled notes, and more since I was a small child. In High School, I really took up representational art, or, the practice of drawing things as they are.

Inked Sketch of a light pole

This is a collection of works that are just that- representational art. I use a number of different pens, but my favorite is the Rotring Isograph 0.35mm. Nothing beats its consistent, dark line.

Drawing of a store front

I see these drawings as distilled pockets of design. Although they represent experiences felt in the real world, each is a heavily considered collection of thoughts on composition, scale, and negative space.
